Omodos Village 4.21.09

Fun with Melissa in Omodos!
My friend Melissa took me to a very cool village called Omodos - very cute and it's definitely turned into a tourist destination...it's amazing that people live in the houses that you will see as you scroll down. This is Cyprus grass roots.
Ya, we got in trouble...the guy on the phone in the background yelled, "Are you 10?!" I guess you have to be 10 or younger to have fun. We jumped off after our picture. What you can't see is that Melissa's donkey was moving...classic.
View of Omodos driving down to it.
Wineries galore...it's amazing how many grape vineyards there are.

A common site, grapevines act as shade when they have their leaves.

Very Greek.

This says, "Christos Anesti" - Christ is Risen.
Ancient Greek Bible
Pews.

Doors and feet...I like them both.

This is a seriously narrow "street" - I can picture a Smart Car cruising through here, but you better believe they drive normal size cars...don't open the door!
I just thought this was so cool sitting out in the middle of the "street."
I have to be in some of the pictures...right?
I just wonder what goes through all of your heads as you look at these pictures...I always laugh when I'm typing this stuff.
Wine press equipment.
My favorite entry way in Omodos...just liked the whole look of it.
Newer lodging...it probably costs a ridiculous amount to stay here.
Melissa on the old truck. Maybe you can help me figure out the make below.
EDFORD? Dad, Tanner, is that a make that you've heard of? Ed's Ford...HA!

Cyprus is full of villages...so many cute little towns with so much character. Thanks Melissa for giving me another glimpse of the beauty of Cyprus. I hope you all enjoyed! - Linz

Singing with Elina 4.16.09

Elina and I wrote a song together.
Our debut performance was in the kitchen with Tim, Darlene, Abby, Emma, and Elina's friend, Timo vising from Finland.
We were laughing through most of it.
Still laughing...
Our guinea pig audience.
Jammin' in de name of de Lord.
WooHoo!
I will be sad when she moves back to Finland in June, but so very thankful for a new sister in Christ.

Avakas Gorge 4.17.09

Welcome to the Avakas Gorge.
This was truly incredible hiking through huge crevices, a super-dooper mini Grand Canyon...like microscopic compared to the Grand Canyon...so gorgeous. My friend Crystal said it reminded her of Zion National Park in Utah - I would have to agree.
I went with Ollie and Mary Hutchinson.

Ready for a hike...always.
Enter at your own risk.

Ollie dunked his head in most of the mine waterfalls.
Called Maiden Hair - appropriately named.

How crazy would that have been to see when that huge boulder got lodged in the crevice?! Ollie is posing for me...I said, "Go stand under that rock and look up."
Roots reaching for their life source, the water below.

Stunning.

There they are again...feet are so much fun!

Hi, I'm happy.
Love this kid!
Had to join in myself.

Do-it-youself guide book for Pafos walks...great resource - thanks Mary!
Can you hear it?
Gigantic mushroom-looking rock.
My distant cousin.
The view from the drive...insanely gorgeous.

Hi! Bye! Thanks for visiting me again. Love Linz
