Eagle's Nest 8.22.09

Hitler's 50th Birthday Present.

This place was tall in the mountain with a spectacular view, so we heard. Today was foggy and rainy, so we could only imagine the sheer vastness of the mountain peaks and valleys. All in all, very cool to see something so historical.
Bus ride up the mountain.
Looks like we are going skiing or snowboarding.
We had to travel on a bus up the hill, then through a tunnel, then up a huge elevator.
Where's Waldo?
A little out of order...another bus picture.
On the right, you can see Hitler...he didn't really visit here much. It is recorded that it made him sick to be up here. Altitude maybe...not sure.
The inside has been turned into a restaurant and souvenir shop.
What the view would have looked like...haha!
The cross on the hill with the Adel Weiss flower.
There's a light at the end of this tunnel...(sing it Third Day).

lindsey what a blessing your Eagle's Nest blog. It was pleasant to here Jesus mentioned with love and respect. I visited Germany while my daughter and husband was stationed in Garmish. I am 79 going on 80 and the Lord is so good. Immigrant Daughter
