St. Paul de Vence

Come on a journey with us
to a beautiful artsy town called St. Paul de Vence...
several artists have lived here, one being Marc Chagall
(don't worry - i didn't know who he was either)
super cute little streets and narrow passages
Michelle hi-jacking this poor man's bike
another beautiful corridor
the skies opened and gave a break from the rain
I really enjoyed the vines on the building
view from a balcony where we ate crêpes
the other side
Tonio is so cool!
Arabo Coffee is a really good brew here

I hope so. I did.
Thanks for coming with us =)

Fragonard Perfume

Can you smell it?
We visited the Fragonard Perfumerie, perfumery, parfumeur...in Grasse, France.

Welcome to Grasse
Official parking lot - ha!
assembly line of perfumes
in these boxes are petals and petals and petals of flowers
making Easter egg-shaped soaps
old machines used for extracting the essence from the flowers
a Nose's organ
deciding what type of woman would wear certain smells
quite a fun game
I'm probably going to be purchasing something before I leave ;)

Oswald Chambers

I'm always encouraged by his daily devotions.
Perhaps this will encourage and challenge you, too:

THE INITIATIVE AGAINST DRUDGERY

"Arise, shine." Isaiah 60:1

We have to take the first step as though there were no God. It is not use to wait for God to help us, He will not; but immediately we arise we find He is there. Whenever God inspires, the initiative is a moral one. We must do the thing and not lie like a log. If we will arise and shine, drudgery becomes divinely transfigured...

...is pretty stinkin' cool!
C'est très bon!

The following few pictures were taken today, a beautifully, gray, rainy day in Nice, France. I'm staying in a very cute apartment with another girl from the states - she moved here a few weeks ago, and she hopes to stay for a long time. Soon, we will have one more roommate in March.

guess where I'm sleeping?
