Cyprus Mailbox. 3.09

Cyprus Mailbox.
This is where I mail all my letters.  So, if you have received one, it first went in this slot and then flew over the Atlantic to then make its way to your home.  Aren't they cute?  This one is at our local park, which is just a couple minutes walk from our house.
If you ever feel so inclined to write, I'm usually pretty good at writing back.  I can email you my address =).  Thank you all for supporting me here in Cyprus.  I miss home everyday, but I am sooooo blessed to be here.  Love Linz

Princess for a Night 3.23.09

This is what happens when I'm in charge...haha!
Tim and Darlene were able to have a little getaway to a local hotel, so it was just me and the girls and Kony, of course.  We had a Princess Dinner.
Beautiful Princesses.
Yes, I can't deny it....I LOVE dressing up!  Doesn't every girl, no matter her age, want to be a Princess?  Daughters of the King =).
Emma let me wear the yellow dress, because I obviously would not fit into the others.
After eating our baked potatoes, as we were washing dishes, Abby came up to me and said, "I'm glad you still like playing dress-ups."  That really blessed me.  I told her that I'm glad they let me play with them. =)
Proper Princess Eating.
After this, we watched Pride and Prejudice...total chick night.
Miss Princess Abby.
Miss Princess Emma.
The boom box in the background played beautiful harp music as we dined.
How every Princess really acts...you can't be one if you can't have fun!

FBI: Missing Point Shoes 3.22.09

Happy Birthday Abby!
For Abby's 12th birthday, Tim, Darlene, and I set up the entire house like a 200 year-old abandoned Ballet School.  Each kid was an FBI agent, and they had to solve the case of the missing golden point shoes worth 11 million euro.
I have to say that Tim and Darlene are quiet creative.  The kids had a blast!
Supply table in the briefing room.
We made a film of Tim as news anchor for BBB (Ballet British Broadcasting, I think).
Before the agents arrived.  Little did they know that they were all suspects of the crime.
The old ballet office full of dust and cobwebs.  Each kid had to find 3 stars in the dust on in the webs with a black light pen.  It was very dark with old ballet music playing in the background.
Blindfold maze.  There were 3 teams of 3.  Each team had to guide eachother through the maze...over, around, under chairs...
Authorized FBI only.
FBI Mobile Investigation Unit.
Our Nine Top Agents.
Agent Darlene briefs the teams on their mission.  The first team to collect all the clues won some sweet treats, then all the teams solved a magic square to then release the riddle of where the point shoes were hidden.  My team won!!!  Go blue team!
The Golden Point Shoes are returned to the great, great granddaughter of the famous prima ballerina, Abigail LeGrande.
Happy Birthday to you!!!
12 years old...wow!  I told Darlene that I'm going to use all her ideas for my kids one day.  Way better than your average birthday party.
A successful mission agents.
Agent Emma.
Agents Tim, Darlene, and Lindsey
Don't you love Tim's slick hair?  We all got so into it.  The whole night we were in character.
If you ever need help solving a crime, you know who to call...

Middle Eastern Weekend 3.15.09

Visitors from Lebanon!
We were blessed to have Pastor Ghassan, his wife Hanneh, and Samer with us on Saturday night.  Ghassan has served in his country for 40 years in ministry.  They were so much fun!
A Mexican spread by Darlene.  Yummy =)
Sunday morning worship.  I started using pictures that I've taken for slide backgrounds.  Everyone seems to really enjoy it.  Darlene took this background picture of fields of yellow flowers.
Tim asks for volunteers for hosts for the next Friday night prayer meeting.  Ollie ALWAYS volunteers...it's funny to turn around and watch his parents' faces.  They crack me up!
This Sunday was sweet.  We had several countries represented in one room: England, Finland, Lebanon, Egypt, and America.
Pastor Ghassan shares wisdom from I John 4:18.  "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear..."
Tim asks Lawrence to pray a blessing on Pastor Ghassan, Hanneh, and Samer.
Closing song, "You Never Let Go!" =)
Calvary Cyprus is blessed to be able to support Samer each month.
Two very incredible couples, serving Jesus with their whole hearts.
I just love these two.  They are the kind of people you feel like you've known forever.
Sunday night, we drove to Limassol to have dinner with an Iranian family =).  The men enjoyed fellowship as they shared testimonies.
Shaheen is in the background.  He works for a Christian Arabic broadcasting television station into Farsi speaking countries.
Both families re-unite after a year-or-so.
All of us.  So, I have to admit that I REALLY enjoy Persian food.  It was so yummy!  Let's face it, I just like food =P  This weekend was a real cool blessing.  It makes me realize how small this world truly is.  God has the whole thing in His hands.

HSM 3! 3.12.09

High School Musical 3!
My mom and sister sent the girls this DVD, and here is the progression of the opening process =).
Eyes closed...
Starting to tear into the paper.
They get a glimpse!
AHHHHHHH!!!!!
Yessssssssssss!!!!
So excited!  We watched it that night on the big projector screen in the livingroom.  They waited for me to get home from Greek class =).  Admit it.  You love it, too. Haha!

Riverspot 3.12.09

Riverspot for Tea.
I guess this used to be a very cool place to come and drink tea.  It has closed down for some reason, but Darlene, Mary and I explored a bit.
They used to have animals that you could watch while you sipped your tea.
Beautiful sky!
I need to explore more - I hear that they have tree houses, too.
A bee doing what a bee does best.
Reminds me of Costa Rica.
Empty dog house.
Outdoor lighting.
